Congratulations to Javier de los Santos, winner of the 2009 Denver Classical Guitar Society Debut Competition!
The second DCGS Debut Competition was very successful. There were six well qualified and well prepared guitarists that competed during the semi-final round. Of that group of six, four were chosen by the judges to move on to the finals. Of the “Final Four”, three were chosen as prize winners.

The Denver Classical Guitar Society is a non-profit organization of people who are passionate about the classical guitar. The Society promotes the classical guitar in the Denver, Colorado, area by:
- Sponsoring an annual concert series of top classical guitarists,
- Holding monthly meetings at which members of all levels can share their talents, to develop their performance skills, hone their technique, and share the music they enjoy with others, and
- Sponsoring special events, such as competitions and workshops, to support up-and-coming students who seek to achieve their fullest musical potential with the classical guitar.
