Dear Patrons,

The Board of Directors of the Denver Classical Guitar Society wishes to thank you for your support and patronage over the past 17 years. Because of you we have had many wonderful concerts and events. As you know we are dissolving the society as of June 2012. This does not mean that classical guitar events are no longer available. In fact, there are more classical guitar concerts in the greater Denver area than ever before. Though our sponsorship of a concert series is coming to an end, we hope that you will support the fine concerts and festivals planned by the University of Denver, Metro State and the University of Colorado as well as other fine venues in the metro area. Information on up coming concerts and events is available on the web.

The Denver Classical Guitar Debut Competition will continue under the auspices of the Mountain Chamber Music Society (MCMS). The next competition will be held on March 9, 2013 on the Campus of the Colorado School of Mines. The brochure containing the Guidelines and Application is available on the DCGS website until June 2012 and is also on the website of the MCMS at www.mcmsarts.org. The winner of this event will be featured in a solo concert in 2014. The monthly meeting group will continue to meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the South Broadway Christian Church, 23 Lincoln Street, Denver.
